道格拉斯·盖顿将在博彩平台第五届年度食品日发表主题演讲。Writer, photographer, filmmaker, and multimedia artist Douglas Gayeton will be the keynote speaker for 萨克拉门托 State’s fifth annual Food Day on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Gayeton, who lives on a goat farm near Petaluma, is the author of 本地:美国食品和农业的新面貌 (2014, Harper Design) and the previously published, 慢:托斯卡纳小镇的生活。 He also is the director of the short-film series 了解你的食物 on PBS and founder of the crowd-sourced project Lexicon of Sustainability, which strives to improve the American food system.

“We are thrilled to bring Food Day to the 萨克拉门托 State campus for the fifth year in a row,” says Jennifer Campbell, a registered dietician with Student 健康与咨询 Services.
“Food Day is a national movement, established by the Center for Science in the Public Interest. It brings awareness to a vision of food that is healthy and affordable, and produced with care for the environment, the farm animals, and the people who grow, harvest and serve it.”
