Wednesday’s events were in recognition of April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

At Wednesday’s rally in the 图书馆 Quad, participants created posters offering words of encouragement, including “The Way I Dress Does Not Mean Yes” and “Thank You For Your Courage.”

“At a forum in November, we heard loud and clear the fears on our campus, and we did something about it,” he said, referring to the new action plan.

“If you see anything, if you hear anything, please contact us,” he said. “To the survivors, we praise your bravery, and we want to be here for you.”

Michael Lee-Chang, one of two student members of 囊状态’s Sexual Violence Awareness Team, said he is one of those survivors. 他强调直言不讳和教育他人的重要性。

“Society expects us to be strong, confident, fearless,” Lee-Chang said. “I understand the terror, the guilt, the shame.”
